Frequently Asked Questions

We split the year into 4 different swim seasons for AAU and USA Swimming. Fall: September thru December(4 months) Winter: January thru March(3 months) Spring: April thru May(2 months) Summer: June thru August(3 months) We take spring break week off after the Fall-Winter seasons and last two weeks of August off before the new year starts.

Swim meets occur all year round both AAU and USA. During the fall, winter and summer seasons, USA meets are mostly on weekends (Friday(evenings), Saturday and Sunday) and AAU meets are mostly on Saturdays. For our spring season, we may compete in a few meets but, mostly swimmers just come to practice to work as a team on stroke technique.

This also depends on the season. During the school year, practices are during the late afternoons and during the summer, practices are in the mornings and late afternoons. The number of practices and exact times depend on the age and level of your child. You can view our general practice schedule under "Resources".

We require all children signing up to be able to comfortably swim one length of a 25 yard pool. If your child is not quite there yet, let us know, we have very good local swim schools we can refer you to that can propel your child in this ability. We love love love new swimmers! Even at older ages.

Every September 1st is a new year for both AAU and USA registrations and other Fees to support costs of hosting this platform and other application support. Coaching Fees vary depending on the season (Fall, Winter, Spring, or Summer). Fall The shorter seasons are less expensive... Spring being the shortest and Summer being a close second. Costs are generally driven by pool rental and coaching salaries. We are a non-profit swim club but operate efficiently on a very small margin. Depending on the age of the swimmer and season, coaching fees range from $-$$$ per child.
